Job summary

Scenic Hotel Group – Fox Glacier, on New Zealand's West Coast, is seeking a Head Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping team and ensure top service standards. You will direct rosters, training, and daily operations to maintain a spotless guest environment and efficient service.

The role requires 2 years in housekeeping with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity, plus excellent verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of the department including determining work requirements and allocation of duties.
• Preparation and maintenance of Housekeeping department rosters and attendance records.
• Oversight of day-to-day activity of Housekeeping staff, and ensuring that training is coordinated, structured, and aligned with service standards.
• Planning, budgeting, and ordering for the department.
• Taking a proactive approach to driving service improvements to maximise departmental success.

Location: 11 Cook Flat Road, Fox Glacier 7886
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent position
Rate per hour: $33.00 - $35.00
Hours of Work: Guaranteed 40 hours per week, on a rotating roster, including weekends.

The Head Housekeeper role is a key position in the day-to-day running of the property, and is ideal for the hospitality professional with supervisor experience who is looking to take the next step in their career.
