Job summary

Sika is seeking an experienced Specifications Manager - Roofing to grow our presence in the New Zealand roofing market across the country. You will identify new specification opportunities and build strong relationships with architects, consultants, engineers, and developers while promoting Sika roofing systems on major projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in specification sales, business development, or technical sales within construction (roofing preferred).
• Knowledge of roofing, waterproofing, building envelope, or related construction systems.
• Strong relationship-building and networking abilities.
• Experience with architects, consultants, engineers, contractors, or project stakeholders.
• Commercially focused with a track record of influencing project outcomes.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple projects.
• Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
• Current valid New Zealand driver’s licence.
• Flexibility to travel throughout New Zealand as required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new roofing specification opportunities across New Zealand.
• Build strong relationships with architects, consultants, engineers, developers, and decision makers.
• Promote and secure specifications for Sika roofing systems on major projects.
• Engage early in project design phases to maximise specification opportunities.
• Collaborate with sales teams to convert specifications into sales.
• Maintain and grow a project pipeline through Salesforce.
• Provide technical advice and product information to specifiers and influencers.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and opportunities.
• Represent Sika at industry events, conferences, and exhibitions.
• Support development of roofing solutions by identifying market needs.
