Job summary

Linfox NZ is seeking an experienced Retail Operations Manager to lead our Auckland transport operation. You will oversee day-to-day scheduling, driver coordination and labour planning while driving safety, service delivery and commercial performance in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll coach and develop frontline teams, build strong customer relationships and monitor KPIs to optimise productivity and fleet utilisation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in transport scheduling or coordination.
• Proven people leadership capability.
• Strong knowledge of freight operations, warehousing and customer billing.
• Knowledge of transport regulations, load restraint and safe transport practices.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand operational performance, costs and KPIs.
• Ability to coach and develop people while maintaining a safety-focused culture.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Resilient and adaptable leadership style for fast-paced operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day transport operations, including work allocation, driver scheduling and labour planning.
• Drive a proactive safety culture, ensuring operations are delivered safely and in line with compliance requirements.
• Lead, coach and develop transport team members, strengthening capability and engagement.
• Monitor operational and financial KPIs to improve productivity, service delivery and performance.
• Oversee fleet compliance, maintenance, subcontractor performance and key transport processes.
• Build strong customer relationships and proactively manage operational issues and reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement across transport processes, systems and equipment.
