Job summary

The role will initially operate Tuesday to Saturday, with potential to alternate patterns to suit operation needs. Join a team focused on safety, service and commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in transport scheduling or coordination.
• Strong knowledge of freight operations, warehousing and customer billing.
• Sound knowledge of transport regulations, load restraint and safe transport practices.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to understand operational costs and KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day transport operations, including work allocation, driver scheduling and labour planning.
• Drive a proactive safety culture, ensuring operations are delivered safely and in line with relevant compliance requirements.
• Lead, coach and develop transport team members, strengthening capability, accountability and engagement.
• Monitor operational and financial KPIs to improve productivity, service delivery and commercial performance.
• Oversee fleet compliance, maintenance requirements, subcontractor performance and key transport processes.
• Build strong customer relationships, proactively managing operational issues and supporting performance reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement across transport processes, systems and equipment to deliver stronger operational outcomes.
• Ensure transport activities meet customer requirements while supporting efficient fleet utilisation and service delivery.
