• Assist with inventory planning and forecasting to meet operational demands.

About the Role

Our client, a major retail distributor, is seeking an organized and diligent Stock Controller to manage inventory within their distribution hub located in Queenstown, Eastern Cape . This crucial role ensures the accuracy of stock records, efficient management of warehouse inventory, and timely replenishment of store stock. The Stock Controller will be responsible for conducting regular stocktakes, investigating discrepancies, and implementing measures to maintain stock integrity. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and experience with inventory management systems. This position is vital for ensuring operational efficiency and minimizing stock loss within the distribution network serving Queenstown and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing stock.
• Conduct regular stocktakes (cycle counts and full inventories) and reconcile stock levels.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies promptly and efficiently.

Requirements

• Proven experience (minimum 2 years) as a Stock Controller, Warehouse Administrator, or in a similar inventory management role.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and POS systems.
• Strong understanding of stock control principles and warehouse operations.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with stock handling.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment in Queenstown, Eastern Cape .
• Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Matriculation certificate or equivalent qualification is required.
