Foodstuffs South Island Limited is seeking a part-time Retail Duty Manager for the Grocery Department in Auckland. The role involves leading daily operations, maintaining presentation standards, and ensuring excellent customer service across shifts. You will handle store duties, motivate staff, and assist with customer orders.

The position runs Thursday to Saturday, 11:00am–8:00pm, with an emphasis on teamwork, reliability, and stakeholder engagement in a busy supermarket environment.

Job description

We are seeking someone to join our Grocery Department and fulfill Retail Duty Manager shifts.

This is an important role in the day-to-day operations of our business. As the Duty Manager you assist with managing the retail operation of the supermarket ensuring presentation standards are upheld and staff are actively engaged in their tasks. In the absence of senior management you will deal with any unique issues that may arise and ensure exceptional customer service is maintained.

Key responsibilities and requirements will include:

• Opening and/or closing of the store


• Motivating and leading staff


• Ensuring standards of merchandising and presentation are achieved and maintained


• Committed to having a high standard of customer service


• Fulfilling customer orders


• Reliable and enthusiastic team member with an excellent work ethic


• Ability to multi-task


• Physically fit and able to lift heavy items


• Having a forklift license would be an advantage.

Hours of work:

This position is for 3 days per week, Thursday - Saturday. Hours: 11:00am - 8:00pm
