Job summary

Woolworths Supermarkets in Dunedin is seeking a Service Manager to lead the Dunedin plumbing service division. You will own the P&L, drive revenue growth and build a high-performing team within a NZ-owned operator.

The role reports to the Regional Manager and focuses on delivering commercially strong results, value for customers, and safe, compliant service delivery. Permanent full-time position with a company vehicle included.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in senior management, operational leadership or service management.
• Strong commercial acumen with P&L and budget management.
• A track record in business development and revenue growth.
• Proven people leadership and the ability to build a high-performing team.
• Strong understanding of the plumbing and service industry.
• Excellent communication, organisation and decision-making skills.
• Full, clean New Zealand Driver Licence.

• Support service contracts across the South Island.
• Oversee quoting and pricing, following up to win work and protect margin.
• Manage key accounts and ensure customer expectations are met.
• Collaborate with service coordination to maximise trades utilisation.
• Support wider branch with Dunedin contracting teams.
• Lead hiring, development and remuneration reviews.
• Champion health and safety, including audits and risk management.

Service Manager - Plumbing

Location: Dunedin | Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time | Salary: Up to $140,000 + company vehicle

Lead the Dunedin plumbing service division. Own the P&L, grow the business and build a high-performing team with a respected NZ operator.

Are you a commercially minded leader who knows the plumbing and service industry inside out? Our client, a New Zealand-owned building services company delivering plumbing, drainage, gasfitting, electrical, mechanical and HVAC services nationwide, is looking for a Service Manager to lead their Dunedin plumbing service division.

This is a key leadership role for someone who can build a strong team, deliver commercially and take a successful business unit to the next level.

About the Role

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you'll run the day-to-day operations of the Dunedin service business unit. You'll lead the service trades and office staff, and be accountable for profit targets and business development.

Key Responsibilities

• Own P&L performance, spotting opportunities and areas for improvement
