Job summary

Enterprise Recruitment has a Dunedin-based opportunity for a Service Manager in Plumbing. You’ll lead the Dunedin service division, drive profitability and oversee trades and office staff, reporting to the Regional Manager.

Your remit includes business development, delivering growth, and strong customer and safety focus. You’ll manage day-to-day operations, hire and develop staff, and work with contracting teams to support the broader branch while safeguarding margins and improving service

Qualifications

• Proven experience in senior management, operational leadership or service management.
• Strong commercial acumen with P&L and budget awareness.
• Track record in business development and revenue growth.
• Proven people leadership and ability to build high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication, organisation and decision‑making skills.
• Full, clean New Zealand Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Own P&L performance, spotting opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Grow domestic and structured service work, including pull-through work.
• Support service contracts across the South Island.
• Oversee quoting and pricing, following up to win work and protect margin.
• Manage key accounts and ensure customer expectations are met.
• Collaborate with service coordination to maximise trades utilisation.
• Collaborate with contracting teams to support the wider branch.
• Lead hiring, development and remuneration reviews (HR support available).
• Champion health and safety, including audits and risk management.

Service Manager - Plumbing

Location: Dunedin | Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time | Salary: Up to $140,000 + company vehicle

Are you a commercially minded leader who knows the plumbing and service industry inside out? Our client, a New Zealand-owned building services company delivering plumbing, drainage, gasfitting, electrical, mechanical and HVAC services nationwide, is looking for a Service Manager to lead their Dunedin plumbing service division.

This is a key leadership role for someone who can build a strong team, deliver commercially and take a successful business unit to the next level.

About the Role

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you'll run the day-to-day operations of the Dunedin service business unit. You'll lead the service trades and office staff, and be accountable for profit targets and business development.

Key Responsibilities
