Job summary

Scenic Hotel Group in Dunedin seeks an experienced Restaurant and Bar Manager to lead a dynamic F&B team, shape menus, and drive guest satisfaction.

The role requires 3–5 years of F&B experience with supervisory exposure, LCQ and Managers Certificate, strong communication, and a valid driver’s license; you will contribute to budgeting, rostering, and local marketing.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Food & Beverage experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• LCQ qualification and a current Managers Certificate.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in hospitality would be an advantage.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Own vehicle and licence required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the running of the department including work allocation.
• Prepare and maintain Food & Beverage rosters and attendance records.
• Plan, forecast, budget and control departmental costs.
• Assist in designing seasonal Food & Beverage menus.
• Oversee day-to-day activity of F&B staff and coordinate training to service standards.
• Drive patronage and revenues through in-house and local marketing.

The Restaurant and Bar Manager role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking to grow, take on new challenges, and lead a dynamic team.

• Oversight of the running of the department including determining work requirements and allocation of duties.
• Preparation and maintenance of Food & Beverage department rosters and attendance records.
• Planning, forecasting, budgeting and controlling all departmental costs.
• Assisting in the design of seasonal food & beverage menus.
• Oversight of day-to-day activity of Food & Beverage staff, and ensuring that training is coordinated, structured, and aligned with service standards.
• Taking a proactive approach to implimenting service improvements to drive departmental success.
• Driving patronage and revenues through in-house as well as local marketing.

The successful candidate will need to have:
