Job summary

The Resource Teacher Learning and Behaviour (RTLB) role is based in Gore and is a full-time, permanent position within RTLB cluster 40. You will join a team of 21 RTLB serving the Southland region, supporting students across Years 7–15 and wharekura.

The successful applicant will be an experienced teacher with RTLB or classroom teaching experience, with strong knowledge of the NZ curriculum and the ability to collaborate with students, parents, teachers and other professionals.

Qualifications

• Must be an experienced teacher with recent teaching or RTLB experience.
• In-depth knowledge of the New Zealand curriculum.
• Current driver’s licence required.

Responsibilities

• Provide RTLB support to students across Years 7–15 and wharekura.
• Collaborate with students, parents, teachers and other professionals.
• Contribute to planning and delivery of learning support within the RTLB framework.

This position will be based in Gore.

You will join a team of 21 RTLB based throughout the Southland region.

The successful applicant will be an experienced teacher with recent teaching or RTLB experience. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals are key skills needed.

Applicants must have an in-depth knowledge of the New Zealand curriculum and a current driver's licence.

Applicants can be primary or secondary trained teachers, with a bachelor degree or the equivalent qualification and will be required to study towards the mandatory RTLB Postgraduate Diploma.
