Bayleys Property Management Canterbury is seeking a capable, people-focused Residential Property Manager to help grow our Hanmer Springs portfolio. Training and support are provided, with value placed on strong client relationships and professional portfolio management.

You will manage an established residential portfolio with a supportive admin team, while responding to occasional tenancy matters outside standard hours. A competitive salary package and career progression are offered.

Qualifications

• Property management experience welcomed, but not essential for the right person.
• Experience in customer service, administration, hospitality, or real estate is advantageous.
• Strong initiative, organisational skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.

Bayleys Property Management Canterbury is looking for a capable, people-focused Residential Property Manager to help grow and strengthen our position in the Hanmer Springs market. Property management experience would be an advantage, but we are also open to someone with strong transferable skills and the potential to succeed with full training and support.

The Role

You will manage an established and growing residential portfolio, supported by:

• An experienced administration and management support team
• Ongoing portfolio growth, with new properties added alongside the existing portfolio

The role requires some flexibility outside standard business hours to respond to occasional urgent property or tenancy matters.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• A positive, proactive attitude with strong initiative
• Residential property management experience would be an advantage, but is not essential. For the right person with strong transferable skills, full training and ongoing support will be provided
• Experience in customer service, administration, hospitality, accommodation, real estate, account management, or another role involving competing priorities and regular contact with clients
• A demonstrated commitment to providing responsive, professional service and building trusted relationships with clients, customers, or stakeholders
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Sound judgement and the ability to manage difficult conversations, resolve problems, and remain calm under pressure
