Job summary

Vale is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee a portfolio of residential developments in the Wellington region. You will provide leadership across projects, coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure safe, timely, on-budget delivery and high-quality workmanship.

The role requires strong leadership, a proactive approache to issue resolution, and a track record of delivering residential projects in NZ.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in construction management, project management, site management, or senior project delivery roles.
• Strong residential construction experience with knowledge of New Zealand building practices.
• Excellent planning, organisation, and programme management skills.
• Sound understanding of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple residential construction projects from construction through to completion.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Drive programme performance, manage risks, and ensure workmanship across sites.
• Ensure sites are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
