Job summary

Recruit Plus Limited in Auckland is seeking a Project Manager to take full responsibility for the construction management of residential development projects. You will coordinate owners, design and engineering consultants, subcontractors, and on-site teams to ensure smooth collaboration and progress.

The role includes formulating and tracking progress plans, controlling quality, cost, and health & safety, and resolving issues to deliver on time and on budget.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential or commercial construction project management.
• Familiar with New Zealand building codes and Health & Safety requirements.
• Strong English communication, both spoken and written, with ability to interface with clients and teams.

The main responsibilities include coordinating owners, design consultants, engineering consultants, subcontractors, and on-site construction teams to ensure efficient collaboration, and formulating and tracking project progress plans, controlling construction quality, cost, and health & safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the construction management of residential development projects, ensuring that the projects progress smoothly as planned.
• Coordinate owners, design consultants, engineering consultants, subcontractors, and on-site construction teams to ensure efficient collaboration.
• Formulate and track project progress plans, controlling construction quality, cost, and health & safety.
• Identify and resolve issues in the implementation of the project in a timely manner, ensuring that the project is delivered on time, on budget, and with high quality.
• Establish and maintain good relationships with customers and partners to improve the overall quality of project delivery.

Qualifications

• Hold a New Zealand Resident Visa or have long-term legal work rights.
• Preferably have a degree in construction management, civil engineering, engineering management, or a related field.
• Have at least 1 year of experience in residential or commercial construction project management (the specific job level can be adjusted based on experience).
• Familiar with New Zealand building codes, construction processes, and Health & Safety requirements.
• Have good English oral and written communication skills and can independently communicate with customers, consultants, and construction teams.
