Job summary

Avis Budget Group is seeking a Vehicle Service Agent at Nelson Airport. This entry-level role includes full training and a 40-hour work week, scheduled on five 8-hour shifts from Wednesday to Sunday.

You’ll help prepare vehicles for customers, maintaining high standards and supporting a fast-paced operation in all weather conditions. We offer on-site roles with a full training program, uniform and parking, and wellbeing benefits as part of a supportive team culture in a large international

• Hands-on or physical labouring experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare interior and exterior of vehicles by cleaning, washing, and vacuuming returned vehicles.
• Assess vehicles for potential new damages and report per damage procedure.
• Review fuel levels and odometer readings and input into handheld devices.
• Refuel gas tanks, check fluid levels and tyre conditions including pressure and tread depth.

We have a fantastic team who keeps our fleet looking like new which is essential to our operations. We currently have full-time position working 40--hours per week available so if you aren’t afraid of hard work and have a keen eye to detail then this could be for you!

About the Role

As what we call a Vehicle Service Agent, you will be a key component to our operations and will be responsible for checking and preparing our vehicles to ensure they are in the best condition possible for our customers.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing the interior and exterior of our vehicles by cleaning, washing, and vacuuming all returned vehicles

• Assessing vehicle for any potential new damages and report it as per our vehicle damage procedure.

• Reviewing returned vehicle gas levels and car kilometres and accurately inputting them into our hand-held devices as required

• Refuelling gas tanks, checking fluid levels and tyre conditions along with pressure and tread depth

What we are looking for

• Full, clean, valid class 1 driver’s licenceis essential for this role.

• Previous experience in a hands-on or physical labouring role

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in all weather conditions delivering a high standard of work.

• Ability to follow procedures and adhere to company guidelines and standards.

We operate 7 days a week from 7.30 am to 8.30 pm. In this full-time role we will schedule you to work 40-hours per week on 5 x 8 hour shifts.

For this position we are looking for someone who can work Wednesday to Sunday each week.
