Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Project Manager to lead complex software and systems integration initiatives. This remote role can be performed from anywhere in South Africa, overseeing end-to-end project lifecycles and coordinating cross-functional teams for successful delivery.

You will drive planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication while ensuring data integrity and scalable integration architectures with cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 8 years of project management experience, with a strong focus on software development and systems integration projects.
• Proven experience leading remote technical teams and managing distributed projects.
• In-depth knowledge of integration patterns, APIs, middleware technologies, and enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM).
• Expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical projects and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of software and systems integration projects.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
• Manage cross-functional technical teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring efficient workflows.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Implement and manage agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) for software development and integration tasks.
• Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks and dependencies.
• Facilitate clear, concise, and timely communication among all stakeholders, including technical teams and business units.
• Oversee the integration process, ensuring data integrity and system compatibility.
• Manage third-party vendor relationships and integration partnerships.
• Ensure the quality and performance of integrated systems, adhering to best practices and standards.
