Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead strategic operational projects for a fully remote team serving the Queenstown region. You will plan, execute, and monitor initiatives to ensure on-time delivery, defined scope, and high quality, while collaborating with dispersed teams across time zones.

The role calls for a strong track record in remote project leadership, process optimization, and stakeholder communication, with a focus on delivering measurable efficiency gains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; PMP or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in project management with focus on operational improvements.
• Proven ability to manage projects entirely remotely with strong virtual leadership.
• Proficiency in project management software and collaboration tools for remote teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage diverse stakeholders virtually.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of various operational projects from initiation to closure.
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive project plans including resource allocation, budget management, and risk assessment.
• Manage project teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring effective communication in a remote setting.
• Monitor progress, implement corrective actions, and manage changes to scope, schedule, and costs.
• Conduct post-project evaluations and identify lessons learned to improve future execution.
