Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Remote Retail Operations Analyst to join the national operations team. You will analyze operational data from stores, identify inefficiencies, and develop dashboards to visualize performance metrics, driving improvements in inventory and supply chain management.

You will collaborate with regional managers to implement changes, monitor outcomes, and refine standards. A strong quantitative background and experience with POS systems are preferred for this remote

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Retail Operations Analyst or similar data-focused role in retail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Power BI, and Tableau.
• Solid understanding of retail operations, supply chain, inventory management, and loss prevention.
• Excellent report-writing and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently on multiple remote projects.
• Strong communication and collaboration with remote teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Operations Research, or related field.
• Experience with retail POS systems and inventory management software is advantageous.
• Must work within South African time zones to support nationwide ops.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data from stores.
• Identify trends and root causes of inefficiencies and performance issues.
• Develop reports and dashboards to visualize key operational metrics and performance indicators.
• Provide data-driven recommendations for process improvements in inventory, supply chain, store layout, and staffing.
• Collaborate with regional managers and store teams to implement approved operational changes.
• Monitor the impact of implemented changes and conduct post-implementation reviews.
• Assist in the development and refinement of operational standards and best practices.
• Support the rollout of new operational tools, technologies, and initiatives.
• Maintain a strong understanding of current retail operational trends and challenges.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to stakeholders at various levels.
