Job summary
Placements24 presents an opportunity for a Remote Production Planning Specialist with a leading manufacturer. You will develop, coordinate, and optimize production plans based on demand forecasts, resource availability, and capacities in a fully remote setup.
You will collaborate with sales, procurement, and production teams to manage inventory and align schedules, while addressing disruptions with data-driven decisions and ERP-driven insights.
Qualifications
- Experience in production planning, scheduling or related supply chain role.
- Strong understanding of MRP, capacity planning and production operations.
- Proficient with planning software and ERP systems.
- Bachelor's degree in SCM/Operations/Industrial Engineering preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain detailed production schedules aligned with demand forecasts.
- Monitor progress and adjust schedules to ensure timely delivery.
- Collaborate with procurement to ensure material availability.
- Work with sales to understand demand fluctuations and manage expectations.
- Analyze capacity and resources to optimize efficiency and minimize idle time.
- Identify bottlenecks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Maintain planning data and generate reports on adherence and inventory.
- Utilize planning software and ERP systems to execute plans.
- Review and improve planning processes for accuracy and responsiveness.
- Communicate production plans and changes across departments.
