Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Remote Senior Operations Analyst to optimize manufacturing operations and supply chain processes from anywhere in South Africa. You will analyze complex data, forecast needs, and develop strategic initiatives to improve efficiency and performance across global operations.

You will build and maintain dashboards, collaborate with production, logistics, and finance teams, and communicate insights to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in operations/supply chain analysis in manufacturing or logistics.
• Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Python, or R).
• Experience with BI platforms (Tableau, Power BI).
• Strong statistical modeling, forecasting, and optimization knowledge.
• Excellent communication and ability to present data clearly.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets related to manufacturing operations, supply chain, and logistics.
• Develop and maintain operational dashboards and KPI reports.
• Identify trends and inefficiencies, propose improvements.
• Develop predictive models for demand forecasting and inventory management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement operational improvements.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to senior management.
