Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a motivated Purchasing Coordinator for a fully remote position. You will manage procurement of operational supplies, packaging, and equipment for a nationwide distribution network, coordinating with internal teams and suppliers in a fast-growing e-commerce logistics environment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in purchasing or procurement, strong Excel skills, and a proactive, autonomous work style in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in purchasing or procurement or admin support.
• Strong organisation and time management for multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for remote work.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with procurement software or ERP is a plus.
• Independent and proactive in a remote setting.
• Reliable internet and home office setup.
• Experience in logistics or e-commerce procurement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the purchasing process for operational supplies, packaging, and equipment.
• Source and liaise with suppliers, obtain quotes, and place purchase orders.
• Monitor order status and delivery schedules for timely fulfillment.
• Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.
• Assist in managing inventory levels to prevent stockouts.
• Identify and report cost-saving opportunities in procurement.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand needs and provide support.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Process invoices and reconcile with POs and delivery notes.
