Job summary

Xplor is seeking a Cybersecurity Lead in Product Security Engineering. This fully remote role requires NZ-based working rights, leading security for multiple product verticals, driving design reviews, threat modeling, and vulnerability management while collaborating with Engineering and Product teams.

You will develop AI-assisted security workflows, mentor engineers, and support incident readiness within a global Security function.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Application Security or Security Engineering.
• Experience advising engineering and stakeholders on security improvements.
• Experience in secure design reviews and threat modeling.
• Ability to build, automate and manage tooling in SAST, DAST, EASM.
• Strong cloud security experience in AWS and Azure.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary product security engineer for key Xplor verticals.
• Lead security design reviews, threat modeling, and release readiness.
• Manage vulnerability lifecycle for product findings and remediation verification.
• Develop and maintain AI-assisted security tooling and knowledge bases.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Security teams.
