Job summary

Partly is building an AI security-first platform in Auckland with ambitious growth and a strong security posture. We seek a Platform Security Engineer to own the security of the infrastructure, work with SRE, and drive compliance initiatives.

You’ll implement least privilege, policy-driven controls, and a mature vulnerability program while coordinating with multiple engineering teams across our NZ, London, and Austin offices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security engineering, platform engineering, or SRE with a strong security focus.
• Hands-on Kubernetes security experience, with RBAC, network policies and admission controllers.
• Experience with ISO 27001, SOC 2, or PCI-DSS compliance beyond checkbox exercises.
• Strong cloud security knowledge, preferably GCP, with secure infra design.
• Terraform, ArgoCD, GitOps workflows; code review for infrastructure changes.
• Ability to translate security risk to business risk for non-technical stakeholders.
• Bonus: CNCF tooling such as Cilium, Kyverno, Falco; container supply chain security.

Responsibilities

• Keep Partly reliable and secure; participate in on-call with SRE.
• Lead security audits and maintain continuous compliance with Vanta.
• Harden infrastructure with least privilege across stack (RBAC, secrets).
• Manage vulnerability pipeline with Trivy, Renovate, Falco; triage and remediate.
• Communicate security risk and status to engineers and leadership.
