Job summary

black.ai is seeking a Platform Security Engineer to take ownership of security measures while enhancing platform reliability. This role will combine infrastructure security with reliability, requiring a hands-on approach to build processes from scratch with the SRE team.

Based primarily in Christchurch, with flexibility for remote work, the ideal candidate should have extensive experience in security engineering, particularly in Kubernetes and cloud security, to maintain robust security measures while ensuring operational continuity.

Qualifications

• You have expertise in security engineering with minimal hand-holding.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and security controls in production.
• Familiar with compliance frameworks like ISO 27001 and SOC 2.

Responsibilities

• Own security incident response planning and testing.
• Maintain security posture and compliance with audits.
• Harden our infrastructure and drive zero-trust principles.
• Manage vulnerabilities systematically within the organization.
