Job summary

Re-Leased seeks a Technical Lead to steer software engineering, AI-assisted development, and platform excellence for a cloud-based real estate SaaS. Based in Napier or fully remote from NZ cities, you will provide day-to-day technical leadership, shape architecture, and drive CI/CD, security and observability across squads.

Collaborating with Engineering Manager and Product Manager, you’ll ensure delivery plans are clear and executed safely, while mentoring engineers and advancing AI-in-code

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent
• Proven experience leading the technical direction of a team or squad
• Strong grounding in software engineering practices and architectural patterns (SOLID, YAGNI)

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical leadership for the squad across design, development and deployment
• Architect services and systems with scalable patterns for future growth
• Lead code reviews and establish AI-assisted coding standards
• Drive monitoring, observability, and production hygiene
• Mentor engineers and foster knowledge sharing across the team
