Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Loan Officer to join a remote team serving clients across New Zealand, including the Queenstown region. You will evaluate borrower qualifications, explain loan terms, gather documentation, and ensure compliance with lending policies from application to disbursement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a Loan Officer or in a similar lending role.
• Solid understanding of loan products, credit analysis, and lending regulations.
• Proficiency in using loan origination software and other relevant financial technology.

Responsibilities

• Engage with potential borrowers to understand their financing needs and recommend suitable loan products.
• Guide applicants through the loan application process, collecting all necessary documentation.
• Evaluate borrower creditworthiness and financial capacity to determine loan eligibility.
• Explain loan terms, conditions, rates, and fees clearly to applicants.
• Ensure all loan applications and supporting documents comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of loan applications and client communications.
