Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Field Support Specialist to provide expert technical assistance for industrial machinery. This fully remote role lets you work from home anywhere within South Africa, collaborating with on-site technicians to troubleshoot, maintain, and optimise equipment performance.

The ideal candidate combines strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge with excellent communication and remote-diagnostic skills.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in field service, technical support, or related role focusing on industrial machinery.
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment issues remotely.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with remote access software, diagnostic tools, and communication platforms.

Responsibilities

Provide remote technical support for industrial machinery troubleshooting and maintenance.
Guide clients and on-site technicians through complex repair procedures via remote channels.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational issues using remote diagnostic tools.
