Placements24 is seeking a skilled Remote Industrial Automation Engineer to design, implement, and optimize automated systems from a remote location. You will work with virtual engineering and operations teams to drive innovation in manufacturing efficiency, safety, and quality.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in PLC programming, robotics integration, and control systems, with excellent remote communication and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering with automation focus.
• Minimum 5 years in industrial automation engineering.
• Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI development.
• Experience with robotic programming and integration.
• Strong understanding of control systems, sensors, and actuators.
• Excellent remote communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automation solutions for industrial processes, incl. robotic systems and PLC programming.
• Specify and select automation hardware and software components.
• Develop simulation models to test functionality and optimize performance.
• Collaborate virtually with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions into production lines.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose remote automation issues; provide technical support.
• Stay current with advancements in industrial automation, robotics, and control systems.
