Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora - Nelson Hospital ED is seeking a NZ Registered Nurse with post-registration ED or acute care experience for a fixed-term 6-month, 1.6 FTE role in Nelson.
You will join a vibrant, patient-centred ED team that focuses on quality care, with opportunities for daily learning in a recently refurbished department. The role supports the wellbeing of patients and whānau in a busy clinical setting and offers a friendly, community-focused workplace.

Excitingchanges have taken place in our Emergency Department recently with a major refurbishmentto meet the growing needs of our community. The redevelopment has increased ourbed capacity to 29 and introduced modern features designed to enhance patientcare and staff wellbeing. Isolation bays with negative pressure and anteroomsopened on 4 November 2025, marking the first milestone in this transformation.Additional improvements include dedicated mental health rooms, a welcomingwhānau room, and expanded staff areas.
