Job summary

DLA Architects Limited in Hamilton seeks a New Zealand Registered Architect with 3+ years post-registration to lead projects and advance toward a branch leadership role.

You will be client-facing, coordinate on-site, deliver design and documentation to DLA standards, and mentor other team members across the Hamilton studio, with support from four other studios nationwide.

Applicants must reside in New Zealand and be eligible to work here.

Qualifications

• NZ Registration (or equivalent overseas) and working towards NZ registration.
• Degree: BArch or MArch (or equivalent).
• Deep knowledge of NZ Construction Industry and regulations.
• Strong design capability with a high-quality portfolio.
• Excellent attention to detail in documentation.
• Proven ability to lead projects and manage multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead on projects and act as a key client contact.
• Represent the practice confidently in meetings and on site.
• Deliver high-quality design and documentation aligned with DLA standards.
• Contribute to growth and presence of the Hamilton office.
• Support and guide other team members.
• Develop capability to progress toward Branch Manager.

We are searching for a Hamilton based New Zealand Registered Architect with a minimum of three years’ post-registration experience who is looking to further their skills while developing clear, long-term career prospects within an established and supportive practice.

This role is suited to a talented driven individual who is ready to step into a more senior, client-facing position - with a clear pathway toward potential future branch leadership.

Our projects are as diverse as our people, with a collaborative working environment and ongoing support from our four other studios throughout New Zealand.

About the role

• Strong design capability, demonstrated through a high-quality portfolio
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in documentation
• Proven ability to lead projects
• Comfortable managing multiple projects
• Good onsite and contract administration skills
