Job summary

Halter seeks a hungry, driven sales leader to grow Halter in the Lower North Island dairy market. You will lead field-based outreach, build pipelines, and close deals by showcasing Halter’s value to farmers.

You’ll set quotas, manage a high-performing team, and collaborate with Customer Success to ensure smooth deployments and renewals. Travel across the Lower North Island is required.

Qualifications

• At least five years of end-to-end sales experience.
• Proven track record sourcing new prospects and creating opportunities.
• Strong value-based selling with a history of closing deals.
• Clear, effective communication to present Halter's value proposition.
• Experience in dairy farming or agriculture is preferred.
• Results-driven, highly motivated with strong time management.
• Adaptable in a high-stakes sales environment and able to think on your feet.
• Sales experience in technology-based industries is a plus.
• University degree or equivalent is desirable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Set and manage quotas, commissions and sales tasks for the team.
• Coach and mentor junior sales staff to reach targets.
• Source new leads via proactive outreach, referrals, events, and field activity.
• Drive end-to-end sales from discovery to contract, including on-farm demonstrations.
• Collaborate with Customer Success for post-sale handoff and renewals.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and industry partners.
• Represent Halter at industry events and demonstrations.
• Provide market feedback to help shape the product roadmap.
• Help evolve sales processes to scale with the company.
