Job summary

Service Foods Ltd in Christchurch seeks an experienced foodservice Account Manager to join our Otautahi Regional Sales Team. This full-time, permanent role offers the right balance of business development and account management, with autonomy to grow your pipeline and build lasting customer relationships in your territory.

You will manage an inherited portfolio and drive sales across Produce, Meat/Poultry, Frozen, Dry and Chilled categories.

Qualifications

Be a confident and effective communicator.
Have relevant trade, hospitality, food service, or FMCG experience.
Proven sales experience with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Knowledge of Salesforce is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Manage and grow an inherited portfolio of warm accounts.
Manage sales across our vast categories in Produce, Meat/Poultry, Frozen, Dry and Chilled products.
Maintain an active call cycle to ensure high customer satisfaction.
Negotiate and close sales, exceeding targets.
Prospect and convert new clients into long-term customers.
Build strong relationships, understand customer needs, and provide tailored solutions.
Work closely with Procurement and Warehouse Operations to ensure accurate product forecasting to meet customer and supplier needs.
Stay ahead of industry trends in both food service and FMCG sectors.
