This is a hands‑on hotel role where you’ll be responsible for delivering warm, efficient service and ensuring our guests have a memorable stay.The role is approximately 20 hours per week, with a high level of roster availability and flexibility required, including weekends and public holidays.
Taking responsibility for the hotel reception and guest experience while working independently and unsupervised.
Taking and managing bookings and cancellations by phone, email and face‑to‑face, accurately recording information in our systems.
Checking guests in and out, allocating rooms, issuing keys and providing amenities.
Answering guest questions and providing helpful advice on hotel facilities, local transport, attractions and entertainment.
Managing guest requests including taxis, room service, extra bedding, blankets and lost property.
Answering the hotel phone, operating the switchboard and managing email and mail.
Processing guest bills and accurately handling cash, credit and debit card payments.
Responding to guest or property issues and escalating where appropriate to management or Directors.
Supporting housekeeping and laundry operations when required.
Maintaining office supplies and arranging orders.
Assisting with other hotel duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of the property.
We areseeking someone with prior hotel reception experiencewho is friendly, organised, confident and genuinely enjoys looking after people.
You will need to:
Be comfortable workingindependently, taking initiative and making sound decisions.
Have a high level of roster availability and flexibility, including weekends, public holidays and varying shifts.
Be organised and able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high standard of guest service.
Have excellent communication skills and a professional, positive approach.
