Leech & Partners in Ashburton, Canterbury, is seeking a Receptionist on a fixed-term basis through the end of 2026. The successful candidate will be the first contact for clients, greeting visitors in person or by phone and providing essential office support to a growing accounting practice.

Leech & Partners started as a boutique accounting practice specialising in agribusiness. Over the years we have also developed a strong commercial accounting base, with specialised knowledge in construction, trades, hospitality, and property.
40 years’ later and the team has grown to over 50 staff, spread across two offices in Ashburton and Christchurch. We support clients nationwide with agricultural and commercial accounting services, business advisory, bookkeeping, future planning, and more.

About the role
We are seeking someone with a “can-do” attitude who thrives on variety, no matter how little or large the task. You will be the first point of contact for clients, whether this is greeting them as they come through the door or over the phone.
We are looking for a Receptionist superstar on a fixed term until the end of 2026. We are open to this role being full time or part time (minimum of 22.5 hours), as for us it is about the right person!
What you will bring
You will have experience working in a customer facing environment, taking initiative to go above and beyond as needed.
You enjoy building positive relationships and are committed to providing outstanding support to both clients and the team.
A self-starter with a collaborative mindset, you can work autonomously while contributing effectively as part of a team.
You have excellent communication skills, a professional and approachable manner, strong written communication, along with exceptional attention to detail.
