Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst for a laboratory in Queenstown, New Zealand. The role focuses on analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include method validation support, equipment calibration, and documentation. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 2 years in QC are required, with opportunities for training and career development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or related science.
• Minimum 2 years in a pharmaceutical QC laboratory.
• Proficiency in HPLC, GC, UV-Vis and wet chemistry.
• Knowledge of GMP, USP/EP, and analytical method validation.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
• Able to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced lab.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing of materials and finished products using HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR.
• Ensure testing complies with GMP, SOPs, pharmacopeial methods.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Document results in notebooks and electronic systems.
• Investigate OOS results and deviations, participate in root cause analysis.
• Prepare Certificates of Analysis for released products.
