Job summary

Salesforce in Wellington is seeking a Public Sector Account Executive to own a quota-carrying territory across New Zealand government agencies, ministries and institutions. You will lead territory and account planning, stay ahead of regulatory cycles, and shape opportunities by aligning our solutions to government needs.

Qualifications

• Track record of meeting/exceeding quota in enterprise/public sector software sales.
• Ability to navigate NZ government buying and multi-stakeholder cycles.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership without direct authority.
• CRM hygiene and pipeline forecasting discipline.

Responsibilities

• Own your territory; build and run territory/account plans for NZ government customers.
• Navigate regulatory changes, procurement cycles and the GETS tender process to shape opportunities.
• Prospect, qualify, negotiate and close; meet and exceed your quota.
• Match capabilities to the needs of central and local government, health and education.
• Lead a matrix account team to develop detailed territory plans for largest accounts.
• Develop strategic partner alliances as part of an integrated plan.
• Maintain a clear, well-planned sales strategy and accurate account status in CRM.
• Understand customers' constraints, including budgets, data sovereignty and policy shifts.
