The Wellington City Council seeks an experienced Property Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of commercial and community properties. You will manage leases, building maintenance, compliance and asset renewal while collaborating with tenants, contractors and council teams to deliver value and good outcomes for the communities.
You will bring strong negotiation, budgeting and reporting skills, plus a tertiary qualification in property or equivalent experience, and a full driver’s licence.
The Property Operations & Facilities team is at the heart of keeping Council’s property portfolio safe, compliant, well maintained and fit for purpose. We look after a diverse range of Council properties and facilities, providing the day-to-day oversight that keeps things running smoothly and supports good decisions about our assets now and into the future.
From facilities management and building maintenance through to compliance, workplace services, fleet, utilities and operational performance, the team delivers around 8,000 jobs each year across the property portfolio. It’s a busy and varied environment where the work you do has a direct impact on the places Wellington communities use every day.
This is a varied role where you’ll manage a portfolio of commercial and community properties, including Council-owned properties operated by Council Controlled Organisations. You’ll provide specialist property advice while ensuring our properties are well managed, compliant and delivering good outcomes for Council, tenants and our communities.
