Wellington City Council is seeking two experienced Business Support Officers to join the Property Services, Assets & Capital Delivery unit. You will provide proactive administrative and coordination support across the team, managing calendars, coordinating meetings and handling financial administration.
You will build relationships across Council, maintain records, assist with onboarding and recruitment admin, and contribute to governance and reporting activities.
The Business Planning and Performance team provides the planning, reporting, performance, governance, risk and business support that helps the Property Services, Assets & Capital Delivery unit operate as one connected team.
We provide the coordination, information, systems and support that connect strategy, operations and capital delivery, giving leaders visibility of priorities, performance, risks and commitments.
We’re looking for two experienced and proactive Business Support Officers to join our collaborative team, working across a diverse range of property and infrastructure activity and building relationships across Council.
This is a varied role providing high-quality administrative and coordination support across the Property Services, Assets & Capital Delivery business unit. You’ll work closely with managers and teams, helping keep things organised, information flowing and day-to-day business running smoothly.
From managing busy calendars and coordinating meetings through to financial administration, travel, onboarding, information management and business planning support, you’ll be someone who can anticipate what’s needed, stay on top of competing priorities and make things happen.

We’re looking for someone who is organised, confident and proactive, with the experience to operate independently in a busy and complex environment.
You’ll bring:
Experience working in local government or another large, complex organisation would be an advantage, as would experience supporting governance, planning, business performance or property and infrastructure functions.
NCEA Level 3 or equivalent experience is required. A relevant administration, business support or coordination qualification is desirable.
