Lead Projects. Mentor People. Build a Lasting Legacy.

At Breen, we're not just building homes. We're building communities, careers, and a legacy that has stood strong for generations.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced construction professional to join Breen Homes as a Senior Project Manager.

This isn't your typical Project Manager role.

You’ll lead by example, mentoring and supporting a team of Project Managers while managing your own portfolio of residential projects. You’ll provide technical leadership, share your expertise, and help drive consistent project delivery, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence across the business.

If you’re passionate about delivering exceptional homes and helping others succeed, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

About the Role

Based in Central Otago, you’ll play a key leadership role within Breen Homes, supporting the development of our Project Management team while remaining actively involved in project delivery.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading, mentoring and supporting a team of Project Managers across multiple residential projects
  • Managing your own portfolio of residential builds from commencement through to completion
  • Driving project performance, delivery standards and customer satisfaction across the wider project team
  • Providing technical guidance, coaching and problem-solving support to Project Managers
  • Supporting workload planning, resource coordination and project prioritisation
  • Working closely with Sales, Design, Quantity Surveying and Construction teams
  • Monitoring project performance, budgets, forecasting and work in progress across your projects and the wider portfolio
  • Identifying opportunities to improve project delivery, customer experience and team effectiveness
  • Building strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders
  • Championing Breen’s culture, values and commitment to excellence
What Success Looks Like

You’ll create an environment where:

  • Project Managers feel supported, challenged and empowered
  • Customers enjoy an outstanding experience throughout their build journey
  • Projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard
  • Teams collaborate effectively across the business
  • Risks and challenges are proactively managed and resolved
  • Best practice, knowledge and continuous improvement are shared across the Project Management team
About You

You’re an experienced construction professional who enjoys balancing project delivery with leadership and mentoring. You’re respected for your technical expertise, commercial awareness and ability to support others to achieve great outcomes.

You’ll bring:

  • Extensive experience in residential construction project management
  • Proven ability to mentor, coach and influence Project Managers and project teams
  • Strong commercial and operational awareness
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
  • A collaborative leadership style that earns trust and respect
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving capability
  • A genuine commitment to quality, safety and customer experience

Most importantly, you’re the kind of leader who enjoys sharing your knowledge, supporting others to succeed and delivering exceptional outcomes for customers.
