Brosnan is seeking a Project Manager to take ownership of a meaningful regional project for a high-profile public-sector client in the Upper North Island. You’ll lead delivery from start to finish, providing clear leadership across project requirements and day-to-day site coordination.

You’ll plan and coordinate the works, manage subcontractors and suppliers, maintain programme and budget, oversee quality and health and safety, and keep the client and wider project team informed.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading construction projects from start to finish.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification is required.
  • Thorough understanding of commercial construction contracts.
  • Competency in MS Project.
  • Experience with CAT projects and SharePoint is desirable.
  • Strong teamwork in a high-performing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a high level of safety, service, and excellence on projects for their full lifecycle.
  • Manage and minimise risk.
  • Ensure the project programme meets deadlines and key targets.
  • Provide expert advice on construction methodologies, sequencing, building issues, and Defect Identification.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety and quality plans throughout the project.
  • Communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Quantity Surveyors to ensure construction costs and production are managed efficiently.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a unique opportunity for a Project Manager to take ownership of a meaningful regional project for a high-profile public-sector client in the Upper North Island. You’ll manage delivery from start to finish, providing clear leadership across both project requirements and day-to-day site coordination.

This role gives you the opportunity to take full ownership of a project and lead its delivery from the front. You’ll be responsible for planning and coordinating the works, managing subcontractors and suppliers, maintaining programme and budget, overseeing quality and health and safety, and keeping the client and wider project team informed.

As Project Manager, you’ll have a high level of ownership and autonomy, with the opportunity to broaden your experience across both project management and construction delivery. This role would suit someone who is confident in taking responsibility, enjoys leading from the front, and is ready to run a project with support from the wider Brosnan team.
