Beyond Recruitment – Queenstown, South Island is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead multiple commercial projects up to $30M, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with client expectations.

You will coordinate project teams, site managers and subcontractors, manage costs, contracts and safety compliance, and provide clear, regular reporting to stakeholders. The role offers a salary of NZD 150K–165K plus vehicle and other benefits.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in managing a mix of small to medium sized commercial projects.
• Knowledge of local sun contractor market and commercial construction legislation.
• Ability to lead and performance manage construction teams to achieve outcomes.
• Strong financial management and cost accountability.
• Outstanding written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

This medium sized construction company run by three directors primarily work across delivering commercial, education, weathertightnessand industrial new build projects $5M - $30M. They work with quality and regular clients and place a significant emphasis on getting the right staff on board.

Staff development is placed in high regard with monthly internal workshops, active mentoring, thought out peering with best fit seniors site/pm staff/projects and regular performance reviews. From top to bottom this contractor is well organised.

They currently have a need for a PM to step in and manage severalprojects.

As a PM you will lead and manage multiple projects to ensure their smooth delivery, ensuring that the required project outcomes are achieved. This will involve regular and ongoing contact with project team members, site managers, sub contractors and other consultants. You will be proactively monitoring commercial and contractual issues and providing feedback. You will be ensuring projects costs are measured, monitored and agreed. There will also be a strong emphasis on OSH and compliance.

Key success factors for this role require:

• 10+ years experience in managing a mix of small to medium sized commercialunder $30M
