Lyttelton Port Company (LPC) is seeking a Project Finance Manager to support the Te Awaparahi Bay Port Expansion. You will own project reporting, forecasting, cash flow, capex and financial risk, partnering with project managers and central finance to ensure clean, decision-ready information.
With a hands-on role across governance and asset capitalisation as the project moves toward business-as-usual, you’ll translate complex numbers into clear insights for senior leaders.

As Project Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the financial and commercial success of the Te Awaparahi Bay Port Expansion project. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll provide financial insight, challenge and governance to a generationally significant infrastructure project, helping project leaders make informed decisions and maintain strong financial control.
You’ll take ownership of project reporting, forecasting, cash flow, capital expenditure and project financial risk, while partnering closely with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Procurement, central Finance and governance forums. You’ll also provide commercial advice, review project costs and commitments, and ensure financial information is accurate, transparent and fit for decision‑making.
With the project moving through delivery and ultimately into business‑as‑usual operations, you’ll also have an important role in asset capitalisation, project close‑out and the transition of financial records and assets into the wider business.
You’re an experienced finance professional who can combine strong technical accounting knowledge with commercial thinking and the confidence to work alongside senior project and business leaders. You’ll be comfortable working with complex financial information, asking the right questions and providing constructive challenge when it matters.
This role sits within a broader internal salary band reflecting relativities across the organisation for the same or similar sized roles and performance. New appointments will be made in the range of$126,741 - $141,651inclusiveof KiwiSaverand will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role.
