Lyttelton Port Company (LPC) is seeking an experienced Electrician to step into a Technical Lead role within our Maintenance Engineering team. We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Electrician to step into a Technical Lead role within our Maintenance Engineering team at Lyttelton Port. Reporting to the Electrical Manager, you'll provide technical leadership across electrical maintenance and troubleshooting for fixed plant, mobile plant, and infrastructure assets, while ensuring all electrical activities remain aligned with current New Zealand regulations and LPC best-practice standards.
You'll act as the electrical subject matter expert across LPC, supporting the delivery of electrical elements of projects, overseeing the installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment, and working closely with operational and engineering stakeholders to improve reliability, performance, and safety across the port. A key part of the role will be building technical capability within the existing Electrical Department by coaching team members, sharing specialist knowledge, and helping develop practical training pathways that strengthen fault-finding, automation, and electrical systems expertise
