Lyttelton Port Company (LPC) is seeking a Health & Safety Business Partner to shape and deliver health and safety initiatives in a complex, high-risk environment. You’ll partner with senior and operational leaders to turn strategy into practical programmes that protect people and optimise operations.
You’ll lead with data, coach leaders, and embed safety into daily decisions, building credibility quickly and driving safer ways of working across LPC.

You will partner closely with senior and operational leaders to shape and deliver Health and Safety initiatives, provide trusted advice and coaching, and turn LPC’s Health and Safety strategy into practical programmes that make sense for our people and our operations. You’ll have the opportunity to challenge thinking, identify opportunities to improve and help leaders build stronger ownership of safety.
Working within a Business Unit, you’ll build trusted relationships, use data and insights to identify emerging risks and improvement opportunities, and help embed Health and Safety into everyday decision-making. You’ll be part of an experienced and collaborative Health and Safety team, working to continually lift safety ownership and performance across LPC.

You will bring strong Health and Safety experience, sound judgement and the confidence to work alongside leaders in a complex operational environment. This role sits within a broader internal salary band reflecting relativities across the organisation for the same or similar sized roles and performance. New appointments will be made in the range of$107,773 to $120,453inclusiveof KiwiSaverand will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role
