Job summary

RCR Infrastructure is seeking a Project Design Engineer to lead the design, estimation, and technical delivery of electrical projects across telecommunications and critical infrastructure in New Zealand. You will collaborate with customers, suppliers, and operations to develop practical, compliant solutions.

You will design AC/DC power systems, battery and HVAC infrastructure, and generators, while preparing estimates and documentation for Chorus projects.

Qualifications

• NZ recognised electrical trade qualification is required.
• Experience designing or working with telecommunications or critical infrastructure is essential.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design AC/DC power systems, battery systems, HVAC infrastructure and generators.
• Prepare project estimates and technical documentation.
• Review drawings and specifications to ensure compliance and cost-effectiveness.
• Provide technical support throughout project delivery and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Ensure designs meet legislative and industry standards.
