RCR Infrastructure Ltd in New Zealand seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer / Project Manager to lead delivery of electrical, HVAC, and critical infrastructure projects nationwide. You will manage from tender handover through commissioning, ensuring safety, on-time delivery and quality, while maintaining strong client relationships.

You'll bring a recognised electrical engineering qualification and proven experience delivering projects from planning to completion, with NZ standards knowledge

Qualifications

• Recognised Electrical Engineering qualification (Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or equivalent).
• Proven experience delivering electrical/HVAC projects from planning through to commissioning.
• Full New Zealand Driver Licence.
• Willingness to travel throughout New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Manage project programmes, budgets, resources, risks, and commercial outcomes.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and customer stakeholders.

Electrical Engineer / Project Manager

Full-Time Permanent | Auckland Preferred | National Role | Competitive Salary Package

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with strong project management experience to lead the successful delivery of electrical, HVAC, and critical infrastructure projects throughout New Zealand.

This role combines technical expertise with project management responsibility. You will oversee projects from tender handover and planning through procurement, installation, commissioning, practical completion, and close-out, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Projects may include commercial electrical installations, HVAC systems, backup power solutions, UPS systems, generators, renewable energy solutions, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and other specialist infrastructure projects.

To be successful in this role, you will hold a recognised Electrical Engineering qualification and have proven experience delivering electrical projects from planning through to commissioning and completion.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Recognised Electrical Engineering qualification (Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or equivalent) is essential.
• Proven experience managing electrical and/or HVAC projects from planning through to commissioning and completion
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and relevant New Zealand standards
• Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers, and project delivery teams
• Strong commercial and financial management capability
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Full New Zealand Driver Licence
• Willingness and ability to travel throughout New Zealand as required

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

• Experience with generators, UPS systems, renewable energy, or battery energy storage systems (BESS)
• Experience using Simpro, MS Project, or similar project management software
