Job summary

WSP is recruiting an Electrical Engineer to join our Power & Energy team in Christchurch. You will contribute to multidisciplinary projects across New Zealand, delivering electrical design engineering and technical advice to meet client needs and support business growth.

You will bring an electrical engineering qualification and develop expertise in power generation, renewables, transmission and distribution, while applying NZ electrical codes and standards in collaboration with colleagues

Qualifications

Electrical engineering qualification is required.
Minimum of three years’ professional experience in a related discipline.
Experience in electrical design across a broad spectrum of the discipline.
In-depth knowledge of New Zealand electrical codes and standards.
Experience using electrical design modelling software.
Strong report writing, communication and attention to detail.
Client centric, collaborative and able to work effectively with people at all levels.

Responsibilities

Deliver electrical design engineering and technical advice across multidisciplinary projects.
Support project planning and delivery for the Power & Energy sector.
Develop expertise in power generation, renewables, transmission and distribution.
Maintain high standards of service delivery and client relationships.
