Job summary

Stantec in Hastings, New Zealand, is seeking a Project Delivery Lead to build trusted client relationships and lead cross-disciplinary delivery across Water, Transport and Community Development projects.

You will mentor staff, forecast workloads, align delivery standards, and contribute to proposals while delivering outcomes on time and within budget. This role offers impact on local infrastructure in Hawke's Bay through collaborative leadership.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years' experience in Engineering or Project Management with good client relationship development and project delivery skills.
• Understand the different phases of projects and be able to make informed quality business decisions.
• Be a good role model for the team and motivate employees to perform to high standards.

Responsibilities

• Build long-term collaborative relationships with Stantec and Hastings District Council.
• Coordinate across Water, Transport and Community Development panels to align delivery standards.
• Ensure the team has appropriate skills and experience for current and future projects in conjunction with local team leads.
• Develop and mentor staff in key delivery processes and procedures.
• Assist team leads with workload forecasting and resource planning.
• Provide regular updates to Hastings District Council and flag delivery risks to the overall programme.
• In lead project manager capacity, ensure project outcomes meet client expectations and contribute to bids.
