Job summary

Stantec in Hastings, New Zealand, is seeking a Project Delivery Lead to coordinate delivery across Water, Transport and Community Development projects. The role emphasizes building trusted client relationships, mentoring teams, and ensuring high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.

You will collaborate with local leaders to align standards, forecast workloads, and provide regular status updates to Hastings District Council while driving delivery excellence across multiple centres.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years' experience in Engineering or Project Management.
• Ability to build trusted client relationships and deliver to commitments.
• Experience leading cross-disciplinary delivery teams across multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Build long-term collaborative relationships with Stantec and Hastings District Council.
• Align delivery standards across water, transport and community development panels.
• Ensure teams have required skills and capacity for current/future projects.
• Develop and mentor staff in delivery processes and procedures.
• Assist with workload forecasting and resource planning.
• Provide updates to Hastings District Council on delivery progress and risks.
• Lead project/ Design manager capacity to meet client expectations.
• Contribute to proposals and bid development to support business growth.
