Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Production Planning Engineer for its Queenstown facility. The role focuses on developing, implementing, and managing production plans to optimize output, align with forecasts, and balance resource availability.

You will analyze data, minimize lead times, and control costs while coordinating with procurement, production, and logistics teams. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field and at least 4 years of production planning

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or related field.
Minimum 4 years of experience in production planning, scheduling or operations management.
Solid understanding of production processes, inventory control and capacity planning.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts and material availability.
Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely material supply and product delivery.
Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to meet targets and address issues.
Optimize planning to minimize setup times, reduce WIP inventory, and improve resource utilization.
Analyze data to identify bottlenecks and propose scheduling improvements.
Implement and maintain production planning software and systems.
