Placements24 is seeking a Production Planning Engineer for its Queenstown facility. The role focuses on developing, implementing, and managing production plans to optimize output, align with forecasts, and balance resource availability.

You will analyze data, minimize lead times, and control costs while coordinating with procurement, production, and logistics teams. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field and at least 4 years of production planning

About the Role

Our client is seeking an organized and analytical Production Planning Engineer for their facility in Queenstown . This role is essential for ensuring that production schedules are efficient, achievable, and aligned with demand forecasts and resource availability. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing production plans to optimize output, minimize lead times, and control costs. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of production processes, inventory management, and scheduling techniques, with the ability to analyze complex data sets to make informed planning decisions. This position plays a key part in the smooth operation of the manufacturing unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts and material availability.
• Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely material supply and product delivery.
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet targets and address unforeseen issues.
• Optimize production planning to minimize setup times, reduce work-in-progress inventory, and improve resource utilization.

Requirements
